Premium Range of Marking Fluids
We have invested heavily in market-leading research and development to create a complete, premium range of innovative fluids for every aspect of any kind of metal. If you place a high priority on marking quality and speed, passionate and safety, use your Etchdrop marking system with genuine Etchdrop fluids.
Electrolytes
Electrolyte solutions are an essential component for electrochemical marking. The correct selection of electrolyte is extremely important as this is a criticial factor in determining the quality of the mark. We supply a range of electrolytes for marking most metals, as well as a number of approved high purity electrolytes for the Aerospace and Nuclear industries.
EDE-1 | IRON AND IRON ALLOYS
A non-dangerous (non-flammable) formulation specifically developed for black mark and white mark on iron and iron alloys without the development of any toxic or corrosive products. see product »
EDE-2 | NICKEL AND NICKEL ALLOYS
Specifically developed formulation for sharp black and white mark on nickel and nickel alloys. It also work well on chromed surface. see product »
EDE-3 | COPPER AND COPPER ALLOYS
This electrolyte specifically developed for dark and sharp marking on copper and copper alloys like brass, gunmetal, etc. This electrolyte gives fast, safe and uniform with outstanding results with in seconds. see product »
EDE-4 | ALLUMINIUM AND ALLUMINIUM ALLOYS
Also a non-dangerous (non-flammable) formulation developed for sharp marking on aluminum and aluminum alloys. This process is user friendly. see product »
Neutralizer
Before using any of the Etchdrop neutralizing fluids, rinse off the cleaning fluid thoroughly with clean water. Then apply the appropriate neutralizing fluid to remove any of the residual acidity of electrolyte. If your work has tendency to form a white “frosting” on the metal surface, the Etchdrop neutralizing products reduce this. As the white frosting can occur after many days, it is important to use your neutralizing fluid as soon as possible after marking.A custom-blended, near-neutral solution that will encapsulate any residual oxides or electrolytes from the surface of the parts being marked, therefore preventing corrosion or staining. As electrochemical etching involves an aggressive chemical reaction, it can be an initiation site for future corrosion. Thus, all etched parts must be neutralized after the etching process takes place.
EDN-1 | GENERAL PURPOSE NEUTRALIZER
A non-dangerous (non-flammable, non-corrosive) formulation specifically developed for neutralization of electrolyte EDE-1, EDE-2, EDE-3 and EDE-4 without the development of any toxic or corrosive products. EDN-1 neutralizing fluid is also removal of any acidic chemicals on the work surface. see product »
